WENDY MORRISON

Founder | Director

Wendy founded YZED Projects to innovate....with purpose and impact. She has over 20 years experience in non-profit management and Board experience in a variety of sectors including health, environment, social justice, community development, education, the arts, recreation and tourism. Early in her career, she worked with organizations where collaborative funding models, innovative new ideas and partnerships were taking off. She lives and works in a world of what’s possible.

I became a champion for change within organizations – developing sound strategies and processes to build effective organizations, teams and programs. I love working with people of all ages and backgrounds. Particularly, I am inspired by young people – to create, connect and build a better future.”

HALEY FRIESEN 

Sustainable Development Goals Impact Coordinator

Haley Friesen is a passionate environmental and mental health advocate who loves to create spaces for discovery and connection between folks of all backgrounds. Haley holds a BSc in Environmental Science from Royal Roads University on beautiful Vancouver Island. At YZED she engages her holistic perspective to facilitate and support Yukon’s social sector in achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her other interests include volunteering in her community, hiking, yoga, living a mindful life, and celebrating the diversity of our planet.

“I believe that compassion for both people and the environment are synonymous which guides me in my life’s journey. This is why I am excited to bring my experience with the social sector and passion for community connections to help support an engaged and connected Yukon. All the while, remaining humble and committed to my own learning journey.”

UDITI RATTI 

Impact Coordinator

Uditi Ratti is a BSc. in Health Sciences student with specialization in Public Health from Simon Fraser University. She wants to bridge an interdisciplinary approach to make disadvantaged communities more suitable, equitable and healthier. She is skilled in Management, Research, Data Analysis & Public Speaking.

"I have chosen to pursue a career in public health to tackle the environmental health hazards as well as to address community development issues such as education, food insecurity, violence and poverty. I want to focus on highlighting the social determinants of health, while issues of race, socioeconomic status, and gender are at the forefront of the discussion.”

YZED Projects supports the Sustainable Development Goals 

Our current projects are working to support the following SDGs: 
     

SDG#17 Strong cooperation is needed now more than ever.
Partners need to mobilize both existing and additional resources— technology development, financial resources, capacity building. Multi-stakeholder partnerships will be crucial to leverage the inter-linkages between the SDGs to enhance their effectiveness and impact and accelerate progress in achieving the Goals.
